JOIN IN!

THE “COMMUNITY GARDEN” MURAL PROJECT

A COLLABORATION WITH COMMUNITY MEMBERS OF ALL AGES AND ABILITIES

ALL ARE WELCOME TO PARTICIPATE

CCAC has invited local artist and activist “Uncle Riley” to collaborate on creating a Community Garden mural as the first ‘Artist in Residence’ at our emerging art center located in midtown Kingston. We invite you to join in growing the community garden mural, one flower at a time!

OPTIMISM IN ACTION:
This project is one of many ongoing social art projects that Uncle Riley grows in collaboration with communities using International Optimism Yellow (‘INTO yellow)— a color he created with Pantone Color Institute, and UMEWE.org to generate more Optimism in the world and to shine a light on mental health awareness.

HOW IT WORKS:

For the Community Garden series, community members are invited to contribute small drawings of flowers that are later integrated into giant public murals. Each individual flower is digitally documented, enlarged, and added to the communal floral murals, which pop-up in surprise locations.

CCAC is proud to host Uncle Riley and the community to co-create the largest Community Garden to date.
